Don't Leave Me Again

Posted by Amota Eromanga on June 3, 2012 at 2:30 AM

We did our school work every night from 7 till 9 o'clock. After doing our school work, we sometimes watched video till almost midnight. I lived with my little brother and sister in our house at the end of the village. Our dad passed away more than a year ago so we were left behind with our mum who sometimes came home late at night.

There were occassional nights, when I felt afraid of the trees that seemed moving or shaking outside our home. Sometimes I seemed to see somebody coming towards and into our house. That often scared me but I tried to stay strong and brave for the sake of my little brother and sister. Our dogs barked when that happened. The sound of that strange episode as well as the barking from our dogs usually made my brother and sister to ask, "What is it?"

"It's only a strong wind," I said. Certainly it wasn't the wind.

One night, it happened again. This time, I was home alone for mum and the other children went to attend the feast.

Yes, all the doors were securely locked except the window of our movie room. The window did not only let fresh air in but the sound of the night as well. I was there watching another movie.

Then ... I began to have a terrible feeling that I was being watched from behind. Ooow.. What a feeling! Slowly I turned my head towards that open window. Wooooooooow! Two big eyes gazing on me!
